Full Description

Your lesson begins with an FAA-required SFAR 73 awareness briefing, followed by a guided simulator session to learn the fundamentals of helicopter control. Then step into the R44 for a full hour of hands-on instruction with a dedicated flight instructor.

With up to two friends seated in the back, you’ll experience real-world helicopter handling, scenic views around Long Beach, and the thrill of piloting an aircraft. After landing, you’ll receive your signed certificate — officially logging your first hour toward a future pilot license.

Passenger Requirements

• Max 300 lbs (136 kg) per passenger
• Max combined group weight: 580 lbs (263 kg)
• Weight check may be required at arrival
• No passengers under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Special Regulations

U.S. Citizens: One demo flight is allowed without citizenship verification. Additional training requires a U.S. passport or birth certificate.

Non-U.S. Citizens: One demo flight is allowed without a TSA background check. More training requires TSA approval.

Cancellation Policy

• >72 hours notice: 90% refund
• 48–72 hours notice: 50% refund
• <48 hours: no refund
• One complimentary reschedule if made 24+ hours in advance
• No-shows: charged full price
• Weather or maintenance issues: free reschedule or full refund
