Just wanted to give a shout out to Alan at White Pine Helicopters. My wife bought me a discovery flight for my birthday a while back and it was an awesome experience! I have done a lot of plane, seaplane, etc. flights, but found the helicopters a lot different, it was really cool, like floating in a bubble. Great scenery and so much fun to learn how to manuever and hover before landing. I have gone a few more times since then and it's a new experience every time. Bonus:Not only are they all top notch in their profession, but they are supportive of their surrounding communities, I do a lot of fundraising for Special Olympics Michigan and when I mentioned our Polar Plunge fundraiser to Alan, he kindly donated a 15 minute R-44 flight for our silent auction! (a few times) To me, that says a lot about their integrity! Whether you're planning to get your private pilot's license, make it a career or just want to sample what it feels like to fly, I would highly recommend White Pine Helicopters, reasonable rates, Great professional people and well maintained equipment. Nothing better than making memories in the sky!
