Matt, our pilot, was fantastic — incredibly friendly, professional, and provided great service throughout the experience. His calm approach and easy-going personality made the flight even more enjoyable, and his local knowledge added so much to the scenic views.
The flight itself was breathtaking, with stunning views across the Sunshine Coast and a smooth ride from start to finish. We felt completely safe the entire time.

A big thanks to Darren and Josh for making our wedding anniversary such a special day. Darren helped with the planning and Josh was our pilot. We flew along the coast, past Noosa and then to a winery for wine tasting and lunch and then to stopped in again to flaxton Gardens for afternoon tea before heading back along the river to the airport. Both guys were extremely professional, courteous and personable and we could not have had a better day. Would thoroughly recommend Sunshine Coast Helicoptor tours for anyone planning a special occasion.
The pub crawl was honestly one of the coolest experiences I’ve had. We kicked off at the Sunshine Coast Airport around 9am, then flew over the Tangalooma Wrecks to the Gutter Bar on Moreton Island. After that, we headed to Stradbroke Island for lunch, and later, chilled out at Sandstone Point Hotel for a drink in the afternoon. Our final stop was Northan Grounds, then we headed back to the airport just before sunset. It was all so well planned and ran smoothly — seriously, one to remember! I’d give it a solid 10/10 and totally do it all again.

Rod took our family of 4 up to celebrate our son Will’s 19th birthday. It was extra special for us because he was leaving to join the NAVY to train as a helicopter mechanic only days after our flight. We wanted to do something special for Will (it was a big deal for us with our first born leaving the Sunny Coast where he has grown up) It could not have worked out more perfectly! Not only did we have the most magical experience seeing the our beautiful coast from the air, but Rod took the time to talk to Will about the aircraft and what he can expect in his training. His attention to detail, his warm disposition and professionalism was second to none. Go flying with Rod, you won’t regret it. We recently had the pleasure of taking a private helicopter tour with Sunshine Coast Helicopters to celebrate my parents’ 80th birthday—and what an unforgettable experience it was!
From the moment we lifted off, our pilot, Rod, went above and beyond to ensure a magical flight. He brought warmth, a wealth of knowledge and humour that kept us entertained and laughing throughout. His passion for flying and the region was infectious.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking—a sweeping panorama of coastline, hinterland, and sparkling waterways that was nothing short of magical.
I was even able to arrange a surprise stopover, landing at Sandstone Point Hotel on Bribie Island and giving my parents a chance to soak in the moment with lunch and a celebratory toast.
Once we touched back down at Sunshine Coast Airport, my parents described it as “an experience they will never forget”, with my dad summing it up perfectly as “a trip of a lifetime.”
