Our group of 9 had THE BEST time! From the minute I called to book the tour until we were dropped off at the end, I was impressed. Our tour guide, Rebel, was not only knowledgeable, but was kind and fun (also a fantastic and safe driver). She talked to and related to everyone in our group. Charles and Ginger were so gracious in opening their home and gift shop. It was such a treat to arrive at the mountain top to a fire and refreshments. We enjoyed the conversation and learning more about their land. The sunset tour was amazing and we captured a great family photo! We look forward to returning in future years for a mine (and maybe a helicopter) tour! Overall great experience, highly recommend!

Terrific tour— we highly recommend it. The scenery was amazing and our guide, Rebel, was terrific. The owners, Ginger and Charles, are warm, lovely people with a really interesting store at the top of the mountain and an even more interesting story.

We booked Rackensack Canyon Tours on our family vacation after finding it on the Experience Scottsdale website. Our tour guide Handsome Dave was extremely knowledgeable and made our adventure very pleasant and comfortable. He made us feel like this experience was made just for us. Dave pointed out every bit of flora and fauna on the way and told stories new and old. When we made it to Charles and Ginger's slice of heaven it was jaw dropping. Everything there was perfect and they treated us like they knew us forever and were part of their family. Ginger's cookies were amazing. The mine shaft itself, I have no words and it is definitely something I am glad I got to experience. The history behind it is out of this world and incredible. This was the highlight of our trip and a must see for everyone of all ages.

My son, my sister and I took the Sonoran Desert to MountainTop Jeep Tour yesterday with Dave as our guide. We were not expecting a private tour but that is what we received! We all sat in the front cabin during the ascent of the mountain. Dave filled our tour with great information about the flora and fauna of the Sonoran desert and peppered his conversation with silly dad jokes that kept us chuckling. Charles and Ginger met us at the top of the mountain in their unique home/studio and casita. They were gracious hosts greeting us with cold and hot drinks and snacks. The view from the fire pit in the back of the building blew us away. Our conversation covered so many different topics: wildlife in the area, the fire in the early 2000s, and their plans for their new home on an adjacent hilltop. Living off grid never looked so inviting! And the hummingbirds!!! My son, it seems, is somewhat of a hummingbird whisperer. At least four or five of the creatures flew close to him to feed on some nectar provided by Ginger. This was one of those special tours that will stick with me for a very long time. Not generic in any stretch of the imagination! I highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide, Rebel was amazing! She was engaging, funny and knowledgeable. The tour of the mine is something all ages can do. It was an interesting and educational glimpse into the harsh conditions the miners endured and their ingenuity. The owners, Charles and Ginger opened up their unique and charming home for us to see. They were extremely gracious hosts, offering snacks and refreshments before we headed to the mine. Great experience from start to finish.
