We booked the 45 minute tour with an additional landing on a beach and one on top of the mountain. Mike was a great pilot and narrator. He flew us over many glaciers, one of which we were able to catch calving! It was stunningly beautiful and Mike knew all the places to see. We landed on a beautiful beach so we could get an up close view of a glacier as well as all the beautiful ice chunks (icebergs?) and experience the serenity of the landscape. We then chose to land on top of a mountain (the other choice was close to the edge of a glacier so we possibly touch it). Again, an amazing experience. Would highly recommend this company for any flight experience in the Seward area.

We thoroughly enjoyed the helicopter ride to the glacier and landing on the glacier was amazing! Such an awesome experience ! Highly recommend Marathon Helicopters ! Mike was an experienced pilot and we felt safe and secure throughout the experience!

I will never forget how breathtaking the views are on the tours we took with Marathon Helicopters. This has topped any place I have ever seen. I think it far outshines even the Grand Canyon and my former, yes now former favorite, the White Sands National Park. You will see sights that are so amazing, sights that could never be seen without being in the air. We landed on a glacier where Mike, our very professional pilot, added a fun surprise by making snow cones for us from the perfectly pure ice of the glacier. What fun! We also landed at Bear Glacier where there are many icebergs in a lake that are spectacular to see with their beautiful cyan color. We felt very confident with Mike as our pilot, knowing he has been flying in the area for at least 10 years. He did indeed show professionalism such as when we approached a certain area, he told us that it can get a little choppy as it sometimes is in that particular area. Telling us ahead added to the confidence that he knows the area well. We also loved Mike's warm and personable personality. His staff in the office are real gems too. Both Kalani and Kat are welcoming and friendly. I got the vibe that they love their job and love working with Mike. I will be recommending Marathon Helicopters tours to everyone that I know that might be visiting Seward as a must do, number 1 over anything else. P.S. Zoom in on the photo with the snow cone before we added the flavoring to see how the ice looks like crystals. Amazing!

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. We booked our helicopter glacier tour with Marathon Helicopters back in April, and every part of the process—from communication to the actual flight—was smooth, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Kat and Kalani, the ground crew, were amazing. We could have hung out in their office all day just talking with them. They were warm, funny, knowledgeable, and made us feel at ease right away. They even gave us some great restaurant recommendations. That kind of energy is rare and made a big impression. Mike, the owner and pilot, was outstanding. Not only a skilled pilot but a great guide—narrating the flight with the right balance of insight and letting the scenery speak for itself. We saw mountain goats, a bald eagle, and landed on a beach surrounded by icebergs at Bear Glacier. It was absolutely unforgettable. We’re so glad we chose an owner-operated company. You can feel the passion and pride in every part of the experience. Mike is clearly doing everything right—this is how a business should run.

Had an outstanding experience with Marathon Helicopters. We took a 30-minute tour with Mike around Bear Glacier and would highly recommend it. The staff was patient in explaining options and the process before we booked. Mike is the owner of Marathon and has been flying in the Seward area for 12+ years, so we felt very comfortable in exploring the area in his helicopter. Breathtaking views that couldn't have been seen any other ways - certainly worth checking out.
