Had a wonderful trip. I booked the ‘Pilots Choice’ which is basically a flight up to and along the glaciers then a snow landing. The company seem to have their own area of the glacier they use. Communication before the trip was good and the pilot friendly and informative. Tip Between weather and minimum numbers be as flexible as possible in your booking time. I was lucky to go when I had booked but you probably need to allow a 36 hour window to ensure you get up.
We were booked as a party of 4 under the name of McMillan on the 08/01. This has to be an experience you choose to go on. Our pilot Edine was outstanding, explicit, accommodating and professional which basically aligns with the entire Glacier Country Helicopters team from office to transport to climax in the chopper. Absolutely incredible experience! The helicopter ride over the glacier was nothing short of amazing. The views were breathtaking, and the whole experience felt very safe and well organised. Our pilot was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating information throughout the flight, which made it even more special. The ground team were just as impressive, friendly, welcoming, and clearly very experienced, making everything run smoothly from start to finish. This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I would 100% recommend it to anyone. Truly unforgettable!
Booking was effortless. We walked in and were met by a friendly team, who gave us a better deal than we found online. We got to fly same day and were given a thorough safety brief. The shuttle was only around the corner and didn't take long to get us to the helicopter take off site. The gentleman who drove us there was very polite. We were a group of four in our helicopter which was fantastic. Mike our pilot shared a great deal of knowledge with us while we flew up and over breathtaking sites! Seeing the glaciers was out of this world and the snow landing was something I can not describe in words as it was beyond incredible. It is something you can not miss!
