Wow! A ride in a helicopter has been on my bucket list forever. My husband Gary surprised me and for my 73rd birthday took me for that ride. CeCe was our pilot and provided us with an amazing tour through the White Mountains. We learned things we did not know and saw things from the sky you could never see from the ground. Professional, positive, polite and personable, CeCe made checking an item off my list delightful. A wish come true and one that I will never forget. Thank you CeCe.
Ok first off I would love to give 5 stars becuase everything was pretty amazing. Our Pilot, I believe him name was Eric, was amazing. Very chill, safe, and professional. The Helicopter was extremely clean and comfortable. The flight path was amazing and the views were breathtaking. My wife and I had just got married the day prior to our flight so when I booked I asked about packages. Here’s where the 3 stars comes in to play. They offered me an I LOVE YOU. Tour package. When I asked the lady on the phone what that came with she said we get flown over a big sign that says I love you and you get a picture. So I thought we would get a nice print or something to take home with us. NOPE! A picture taken by the pilot with our phone. Which I assume they let you do every trip. Then on the end of the flight they fly you over a pretty microscopic sign that says I ❤️ You. And I mean tiny. My wife barely saw it. Not to mention it was just dragged out of the hanger . Not in some field you fly over or something that would seem special. Plus the wind blew it a bit so even if you could read it it wasn’t even tied down and folded over. I complain becuase the tour was 550 for 35 minutes, when I could have done the 45 minute tour for 528 I believe she said was the price. Or I could have done the 30 minute tour and given my pilot a way more generous tip. So in closing I would skip the I love you package and just say it over the coms in the helicopter. Otherwise I would have gladly given this experience a 5 star review. It was just a bummer. In my mind I thought they owned a piece of property in a field with a huge sign or bushes planted to say I Love You.
We did the 1 hour tour with John. It was amazing! Helicopter was very well maintained and clean. We all felt safe. What was even better was how knowledgeable and professional John was. He explained the processes, knew the area very well and was very safety minded. Exceeded expectations. John is a great addition to the Vertical Ventures team! The views of the mountains the tour provides are indescribable - you just have to do it to experience them yourself. Look no further.
Nestled right outside the natural splendor of Crawford and Franconia Notch, VVA was definitely a destination to make anyone's jaw drop. We had an opportunity to get a bird's eye view from over the presidentials (including a fly by of the Mt. Washington summit) as well as the notches, and it was truly spectacular. Had the opportunity to soak in the beauty of the white mountain national forest before settling back down smoothly. Obviously your mileage might vary depending on weather and wind conditions, but if you pick a good day, VVA will make sure it turns into a fantastic day. They were super flexible about booking, allowing us to rebook for a better day with less than a week's notice. Mattia was a fantastic pilot, was very knowledgeable about the area, and seemed to appreciate the White Mountains as much as those sitting in the passenger seat. There was also no high pressure sales tactics either with trying to sell you photos, video, t shirts, etc., just trying to make sure your experience is great. Would highly recommend to anyone with a sense of adventure and a love of the mountains. I'm sure we'll be back in the near future.
