We did a flight to Milford sound, cruise and flight back to Queenstown. The price is steep but absolutely worth it. John was an amazing pilot, skill wise and also by personality. Can imagine he was a former stunt pilot for movies 😁 🤔 Especially the flight into Milford Sound was at least in the top 3 of our personal all time highlights (with e.g. riding to Kel Suu). Just stunning, my wife even had tears in her eyes. The minor technical issue before our flight back didn't bother us due to the perfect management, updates and explanations by John. Our only suggestion for improvement would be that the flight back is more on par with the first flight - like having a couple minutes into Milford Sound. Oh, and and considering the premium approach of the product a small ship cruise would be more appropriate I think. It didn't matter in our case anyway as there haven't been any dolphins this time - which could be engaged more closely by a small ship). But these suggestions are really just the cherry on the cake, our experience was definitely better than expected.
Awesome excursion, the highlight of our trip so far, knowledgeable and friendly pilot and spent plenty of time to enjoy experiencing the snow, a first for my 2 year old son. We done the 25 minute tour to fit in our budget, but we felt that it met our expectations and was good value for money. Definitely highly recommended 🤘 Thank you! Dan
I took the helicopter ride to Franz Josef glacier. It was a really cool experience! There are a lot of rules about what you can bring (not much) so make sure to check in advance and be prepared. Also flights change sometimes due to booking or weather so you might need to be flexible. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and the views were amazing. Accessibility note: i couldn't bring my cane, but they gave me a snow pole that worked better at the glacier and I was able to use it to get to and from the helicopter as well. They have a little step stool to help boarding (you may need to ask). They also let me lean on them for help getting in and out. But you do have to be able to walk a bit and go up a few steps.
Amazing experience on the glaciers! From the booking process with the friendly and professional Tiana to the check-in while waiting for the pilot’s approval, everything was perfect. The entire staff was exceptional. The experience itself was outstanding and truly unforgettable. Landing on a glacier like Fox Glacier is an honor and a unique emotion. Highly recommended!
