Despite our booked crater tour destination being a bit windy we had a great alternative but spectacular trip to a geothermal area in the national park, and saw some craters too. Unforgettable. Service and communication was great and Thor our pilot was great.
To this day still my only helicopter flight, and it was absolutely incredible. Such a different mode of flying to a plane and they do it masterfully. We went on their Reykjavik summit tour and it was nice a quick but also suitably impressive. Couldn't recommend it more.
10/10 experience, we were upgraded To a longer flight over the smoking lava fields. Where we landed and were able to touch just a couple months old lava. The pilot was very welcoming and informative about the lava fields and all the eruptions. The helicopter was very spacious and took 6 passengers total. Would recommend for everyone visiting Iceland.
